[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrYlNNy929Y]I want to thank everyone for the video clips they’ve been sending in. I will attempt to post the best ones about once a week. This one comes from my friend Jodi Kurilla in Portland, and it’s truly hysterical – especially the French dubbing of the Indian accent. The clip is from the 1979 classic “Kung Fu vs. Yoga.” Enjoy.

Advanced Concepts in Adapting Practice with Carl Horowitz
I am very pleased about an ongoing seminar that my friend and colleague Carl Horowitz has just started teaching on Tuesdays at The Breathing Project in New York City. Carl is offering a really great opportunity to deepen your understanding of Yoga practice. Carl has a knack for helping students and teachers to get more from what they are doing by fully articulating all the variables involved in a yoga practice. -
"Stillness Through the Heart" Special Workshop Added for this Wednesday
My old friend Navtej Johar will be in NYC this Wednesday teaching from 4-8PM at The Breathing Project. I can’t recommend highly enough this very special teacher, who has been a student of T.K.V. Desikachar since 1985 (longer than me). I know it’s last minute, but do whatever you can to be here with us – I guarantee you’ll be happy you did.The workshop will focus on one or more of the various elements that make up yoga practice in the tradition of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and Sri T.K.V. Desikachar: asana, pranayama, meditation, Vedic chanting, and a study of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

An important message to members of the Namarupa mailing list
A special message from Robert Moses and Eddie Stern:
Dear Friend of Namarupa,
You are being sent this message at our request.
On November 16th of this year, The Breathing Project in New York City, directed by yoga therapist Leslie Kaminoff, will be holding a special event to help support the work of both The Breathing Project and Namarupa Magazine.
Leslie is an old friend of ours, having met Robert in 1979 at the Sivananda Ashram in Canada, and Eddie in 1987 at the RAPP Arts Center in NYC, where they were neighbors, and Leslie had his first yoga studio.
Leslie is doing amazing educational work in the field of yoga therapy, and has been working for years towards elevating the education of yoga teachers, practitioners and therapists who come to his classes and to see him for individual treatment. At Namarupa, we completely support his work and dedication towards this aim.
At the same time, Leslie has a deep appreciation for the work of Namarupa, and our endeavors to maintain a high level of dialogue in the yoga community.
It is for this reason that the Breathing Project this year has chosen to honor Namarupa Magazine for our contribution to the yoga community, and we are very happy that such an old and dear friend has considered us for this honor.
We hope that you all will be able to join us for this special evening, with musical performances by David Hykes and Krishna Das, food, and more.
For more information, please contact Leslie Kaminoff at benefit@yogaanatomy.org
Thank you very much,
Robert Moses and Eddie Stern
